Why Montessori Nanny Training ?
Montessori Training: Why it is Non-Negotiable in My Home
I know that choosing the right education path for your child is one of the biggest, most pivotal decisions you’ll ever make. It’s been a journey for me, too. The options are endless, and the weight of that choice can feel immense. You want to unlock your child’s potential, to provide them with more than just facts, and to nurture the whole person—curious, confident, and compassionate.
I’m often asked why, after exploring so many models, I chose the Montessori training approach for my family. For me, it wasn’t just a “good” choice; it felt absolutely non-negotiable. It’s become central to my parenting, and it’s why I’m so passionate about advocating for the deeper understanding that proper Montessori training can provide—even for caregivers.
Here is why I believe this approach is so important, not only for my children, but for any child preparing for a complex, global future. felt absolutely non-negotiable. It’s become central to my parenting, and it’s why I’m so passionate about advocating for the deeper understanding that proper Montessori training can provide—even for caregivers.
Respecting the Child’s Inner Blueprint
In traditional education, there’s often a script that children are expected to follow. But in a Montessori environment, the script is written by the child. The guide’s (teacher’s) job is not to pour knowledge into them, but to observe and help their unique development. I’m in awe of how awell-prepared environment respects each child’s unique rhythm, allowing them to follow their interests and master concepts at their own pace. This is why I started Hidaya to bring the best of what I’ve learned along my journey and share this in our nanny training allowing families to have this knowledge in their home too.
This level of individualised attention is only possible when the guide is aware of the principles. I feel so strongly about this that when recommending any childcare, I now prioritise a caregiver/nanny who understands these core principles and undertaken nanny training with a genuine Montessori component. It changes the entire dynamic from “babysitting” to facilitating growth. If you want to look at our courses we have different options available to suit all needs.

More Than Just Academics: Educating the Whole Human
We live in a world that is incredibly connected, but often deeply fragmented. For a long time, I thought education was just about reading, writing, and math. Montessori showed me how much more a child is capable of when they’re supported in all areas of development. I see it every day in my own home.
Yes, children in Montessori classrooms excel academically, often grasping complex issues through hands-on materials (the famed Golden Beads or the Movable Alphabet). But what I truly treasure is the emphasis on social-emotional learning and courtesy. I’ve been moved watching 4-year-olds independently resolve a conflict, or a 9-year-old carefully serve a snack to their classmate.
Montessori provides a microcosm of a healthy society. It fosters:
- Cooperation over competition. Children learn to collaborate, support one another, and celebrate group achievements rather than individual awards.
- Peace education as a practice. I believe this is one of the most vital components. Dr. Montessori developed her method partly in response to the devastation of war. In her model, peace isn’t just an abstract concept; it’s a daily practice of respect, active listening, and conflict resolution.
- A commitment to justice. I see children in these environments grow an unwavering sense of fairness and a deep responsibility to use their talents to build a better world.
Summary – For me, raising global citizens means nurturing this profound empathy. It’s become clear that a child who is peaceful, cooperative, and deeply respectful is best equipped to navigate the complexities of our global society.
